Parishioners enjoying fellowship after mass on 'Doughnut Sunday' These are occasions when parishioners can 'get together' and have a natter after the 10.30.am Mass. Many people appreciate the opportunity to to stop and chat and share refreshment. So often Mass is a 'filling station'. Come, fill up, and scurry off again. Our Doughnut Sunday builds community. Many parishioners who might not otherwise meet and pause awhile and get to know each other by name. In our mission statement it is stressed that each person ought to feel wanted in the parish. A good hospitality team cares for this each month as well as providing daily refleshments in our Resource Centre. Thankfully even strangers are getting to know that we do care whether they are there or not. It also gives us an opportunity of greeting our 'ner Irish' parishioners. |
